The «ATOM» Charitable Foundation has established clear procedures for the manual demining of areas where anti-personnel mines, anti-tank mines, improvised explosive devices, and booby-traps may have been used.
Manual demining may be conducted by demining groups equipped with mine detectors, individual sapper kits, and other necessary equipment.
The main components of manual demining include:
- maintaining the constant readiness of our personnel and equipment for demining operations;
- searching for, detecting, and neutralizing mines, booby-traps, and other explosive remnants of war using metal detectors and special equipment, and handing them over to authorized bodies for further destruction;
- conducting internal quality control of manual demining work performed;
- creating safe conditions for the use of the area after its clearance;
- implementing occupational health and safety measures and medical support;
- recording and reporting on the results of manual demining work;
- conducting external quality control by authorized bodies;
- transferring land to end beneficiaries;
- manual demining work may be carried out separately or in combination with other demining methods.
For each demining project, we develop detailed plans and strategies, thereby ensuring the highest level of safety and efficiency.
The sappers of the «ATOM» Charitable Foundation have high-quality equipment and the appropriate skills for manual demining.
We have obtained certification that entitles us to conduct humanitarian demining on the territory of Ukraine.
