Specialists of the «ATOM» Charitable Foundation conduct a Technical Survey (TS) of areas to collect evidence of the presence of explosive ordnance and to develop an action plan for its removal, so that the area becomes safe for use.
During a Technical Survey, we adhere to the following basic principles:
- the safety of our personnel always comes first;
- we systematically collect evidence to accurately determine the status of the area;
- we verify and refine previously collected data to determine the level of risk;
- the Technical Survey may be conducted by 2 humanitarian demining groups, equipped with mine detectors, individual saper kits, and other necessary equipment.
The sappers of the «ATOM» Charitable Foundation have high-quality equipment and the appropriate skills for manual demining.
The main tasks of our team during a Technical Survey include:
- searching for and detecting explosive ordnance using specialized technical means;
- establishing and marking safe boundaries in the area;
- developing an action plan for mine clearance or area clearance;
- assessing social and economic factors that may affect the prioritization of our actions;
- preparing reporting documentation on the survey results.
We conduct the Technical Survey independently or in combination with other demining methods, including manual demining and the use of machines and mechanisms.
We have obtained certification that entitles us to conduct humanitarian demining on the territory of Ukraine.
