Process 2

Technical inspection

The ATOM Charitable Foundation’s specialists conduct a technical survey of the territories to collect evidence of the presence of explosive devices and develop an action plan for their removal to make the territory safe for use.

During the technical survey, we adhere to the following basic principles

the safety of our employees always comes first;
systematically collect evidence to accurately determine the condition of the territory;
verify and refine previously collected data to determine the level of risk;
2 humanitarian demining teams equipped with mine detectors, individual sapper kits and other necessary equipment are authorized to conduct technical surveys.

The sappers of the ATOM Charitable Foundation have high-quality equipment and appropriate skills for manual demining.

The main tasks of our team during the technical survey include

searching for and detecting explosive objects using specialized technical means;
establishing and marking safe boundaries on the territory;
development of an action plan for demining or clearing the territory;
assessing social and economic factors that may affect the priority of our actions;
Preparation of reporting documentation on the results of the survey.

We carry out technical surveys independently or in combination with other demining methods, including manual demining, the use of machines and mechanisms.
