Informing the public about the risks associated with explosive remnants of war
One of the main tasks of the ATOM Charitable Foundation is to inform the public about the risks associated with mines and other explosive remnants of war, as well as to increase the level of knowledge and understanding of the potential risks that may be caused by mines and explosive objects.
The objectives of the information campaign conducted by the staff of the ATOM Charitable Foundation are
- bringing information about the risks associated with explosive hazards to the most vulnerable groups of the population through all possible means of communication and information sources;
- ensuring the effectiveness of knowledge acquisition by building the capacity of outreach activities with the population of territorial communities, as well as representatives of governmental and non-governmental enterprises, institutions and organizations, including government authorities;
- Identification of specific causes and motives that lead to risky behavior in the context of the situation with the contamination of the territory of Ukraine with explosive ordnance;
- Promoting the creation and strengthening of social norms and best practices to change the behavior of the local population to a safer one.
